ONE MONTH TO THE GREEN FLAG & Test-N-Tune COMING UP!

The first Green Flag drops for "The Heartland Sprint Series" in just one month and with $3,000 on the line, in various classes, it will be an amazing season of racing. Here's a run down of what's going on, plus some new information about our March 27th Test-N-Tune day!

1) The season starts on April 10th and 11th for "The Heartland Sprint Series" featuring one race per month from April to September. It's a best of six race series with one drop for the championship trophy "The Heart of Karting", and for some classes there's some prize money involved as well.

2) The Tag Senior Class features a $1,000 purse this season and Maxxis doubled the prize money if you win the championship on Maxxis Tires! That's $2,000 in cash and prizes for the Tag Senior Class for "The Heartland Sprint Series"!

3) The S2 Shifter Class is sponsored by "Rude Crew Inc." with a $500.00 cash prize going to the champion at the end of the season!

4) The Tag 60 Cadet Class is sponsored by "Steve's Auto" with a $500.00 prize going to the champion at the end of the season and Steve's Auto has also offered $5.00 off your oil change and $10.00 off your service of $100 or more!

5) The official track layouts have been announced from April to July (Jack, Queen, King and Ace of Hearts) and have been posted on the website http://www.bpmotorsportsgroup.com but the track layouts for August and September are yet to be determined. Why? Because we're letting you, the racer, pick the track layout for the July "Wild Card" race so log on and vote for your favorite track design. We're taking it one step further for our final race of "The Heartland Sprint Series" in September! The "Joker" track will be designed by a racer and will feature their name. Yes, that's right, you get to design the track layout. See the website for more details on how you could be the kart racer who designs the track for September.

Now for the New information about Test-N-Tune Day March 27th!

Test-N-Tune Day: March 27th is the Test-N-Tune day and drivers will have plenty of on track time to get use to this amazing new racing facility in Kansas City called "The Precision Driving Center". The following is how the schedule will run that day for practice.

We will have four different run groups on Test-N-Tune day. Each Group will have 15 minutes of track time every hour!

GATES OPEN AT 8:00AM

Practice will start at 9:00 a.m. and run until 5:00 p.m.

** Note the change in the line-up **
We had to make some adjustments for insurance reasons

Group 2- 4 cycle run on the 12
Group 3- 2 cycle Rookie (Yamaha Jr Sportsman and Tag 60) run on the 24

Pit passes for everyone will be 5.00

Thanks for posting this Chris. What time will the gate open for sign in and entry? Will the event run if there is rain?

David,

To my knowledge the gates will open at 8:00am and we'll get started at 9:00am. Not sure about the rain just yet, I'll have to check on that one for you.

Chris

Thanks Brit. I assume that means that even if someone wants to test in a rain the circuit would not be available?
See you all soon, hopefully in the sun and warmth.

David, I doubt it, I know another individual tried to rent it from them and they told him they would only rent it to licensed companies with proof of insurance.

Wondering if BP will have their timing system set up? If so, are you going to rent out transponders?

If not, will you have a beacon set up so that Mychrons can be used?

The timing system will not be used for the test and tune. Although we may set it up and make sure everything is working fine in time for the April race. There will be a beacon in place to be used with mychrons.
