Board Meeting - January 14

Next Board meeting Thursday, February 4 at 6:00 pm at Denny's on Front street

1. Flagman
A. Judd & John Q. know a gentleman that will do it for all the races – Jim Williams
B. They will confirm his help

2. Grid – Lisa volunteered to do grid for all the races

3. Race Schedule
A. Print and follow a race schedule on race day
* Happy medium structured but not unflexible
B. Kid Karts NOT first on race day

4. Concession Stand
A. Will NOT have a stand unless there is a volunteer to run it
* Club will sell only water

5. Track Repairs
A. Considering doing all the repairs in concrete
* Club members to do most of the work
* Cut in for drains, seal the cracks,
* John & Jason to get an estimate to the club for the concert work
B. Rent the equipment. $70 for saw, $40 for blade, $70 for tapper,
C. Need approx. 20 yards at $105 per yard
* If done in winter need to add $450 for winter mix

6. Power Wheels race for Saturday, June 19

7. $150 rental for the North Kansas City Community Center for the Yearly Membership Meeting

8. John Quigley, Dennis Brandon, and Lisa Earls on the KCKA checking account

9. Car Car open at every race? Gas? Going mobile?

10. PA system needed for 2010 and should be less than $300
A. Musicians Friends - $199 for system and $30 for each stand

11. Club to sell MG yellows this year
A. Price is be going up some time this year.
B. Will have a tire order before Feb 1 to try to get last years price of $165

12. Club to allow any tires from 2008, 2009, and 2010 sanctioning bodies

13. 2009 board raised Membership to $95
A. Dennis to make membership cards for 2010

14. Dennis will get the club stuff from Angela and inventory it

15. Trophies for the races
A. Dave Winslow will look into have a custom metal made for KCKA
B. Special trophies for 15 years and younger for the June 19 & 20 event

16. Have a board at the track with information posted on it

17. Consider lifting weight penalty for the Yamaha cadet chassis

18. Mychrons required for karts after 3 races? Membership to consider at meeting

19. Need gate at the track ASAP

20. Club needs By-Laws to limit liability of the board members
