TAG 60 Class Gets A Sponsor for "The Heartland Sprint Series" in 2010!

BP Motorsports Group is proud to announce yet another sponsorship for "The Heartland Sprint Series" in 2010. Steve's Auto Repair in Liberty, Missouri! Steve's Auto Repair is a big fan of karting and they're excited about the growth of the sport here in the Heartland and looking forward to helping support the younger drivers and the sport as a whole. Steve's Auto Repair has been in business since 1996 in Liberty and they provide an extensive range of auto repair and maintenance services, including oil changes, tune-ups, brake repair, mufflers, shocks and struts, tires, alignment, climate control, preventive maintenance, air conditioning, batteries and much more. They can be reached online at http://www.stevesautorepairkc.com

Steve's Auto Repair and Rude Crew Inc. are partnering up for this sponsorship in the Tag 60 class and putting up $500.00 to the driver who wins the Championship for "The Heartland Sprint Series" in 2010. There are several talented drivers in this class including some up and coming rookies! It should be a very interesting, and tight race for the Tag 60 Championship this season.

Steve's Auto Repair will also be offering $5.00 off any oil change with your BP Motorsports wrist band and $10.00 off any service of $100.00 or more for the entire racing season April to September of 2010.

This brings the total number of classes sponsored to three! Tag Senior, S2 Shifter Class, and now Tag 60 thanks to Steve's Auto Repair in Liberty, Missouri who is partnering up with Rude Crew Inc. for this sponsorship. Stay tuned because there is still much more yet to come for "The Heartland Sprint Series" with BP Motorsports Group for the 2010 season! More details to come here on EKN and on our website at http://www.bpmotorsportsgroup.com.

Get those Karts ready kids!!! It's $500.00 Winner Take All in the Tag 60 Class in 2010!

Chris

Are you sure this will not affect the kid’s amateur status? Who knows which of these kids will go on to play some sport in collage. The last thing BP would want to do is affect the kid’s life 8 to 10yrs down the road. Just be careful on paying kids, do some research first and make sure. NCAA and NAIA rules are very clear on this.

Maybe one option would be pay the team owner and let him or her give it to the kid.
That way the kids name never appears on a check.

Thanks Carl

Carl,

Great question but don't worry we've already thought of that. The $500.00 will be awarded in the form of a gift card. The gift card can be awarded directly to the parent if they're worried about that.

That issue came up during our meetings and we'll make sure that the prize is awarded in the form of a gift card. The child can pick the gift card and we'll award it to the parent. ;)

I guess I should have mentioned that in the initial post, great question Carl! Thanks for pointing that out....

Wouldn't it be cool if they had NCAA karting? Get a college scholarship and all karting expenses paid for 4 years. ;) I know that's not what you were referring to... but I'm just saying.

At Purdue University right next to the Boilermaker football stadium there is an outdoor Grand Prix Kart Track. It is used for the Purdue annual Grand Prix and the event has been going on for decades. I grew up in West Lafayette, IN not far from the stadium and remember watching a few Grand Prix Karting events as a kid.

www.purduegrandprix.org. Started in 1958.

That would be very cool. I could just see the budget problems a sport like this would cause.

Oh, but could you imagine the revenue and fun a KU vs MU kart race could have :P

BTW, I heard Nike spent almost million on the 10 team special rivalry "pro combat" weekend uniforms last year. Too bad Nike doesn't make kart chassis'.

Mike:
FYI on your Purdue reference. And it sounded like such an interesting event.

David,
I'm sorry but you must be enrolled as a full time Purdue student to participate in our race.
Thanks for your interest,

Those karts definately appear to be paying homage to the "boilermaker" mascot. A lot of places to get tangled and smashed by some unforgiving non energy absorbing tubing.
