Minutes from March 4 Next Board meeting Thursday, April 1 at 6:00 pm at Denny's on Front street
1. Race Day Job sheets looked at and approved A. Minimum of 1 member from each pit must sign up for 1 PRE or POST race job (approx. 15 min) B. Minimum of 1 member from each pit must sign up for 1 ON TRACK race job (approx. 30 min) C. If the jobs are NOT worked by a team, the driver will NOT be allowed to run. D. Hope to have forms on website to look at E. Lisa will use the PA system to announce change of workers
2. Flagman A. Need to get with Jim Williams
3. Concession Stand A. Need to get with Hannahs to see if they are going to do concessions
4. Track Repairs A. Lisa will get with the 4 guys to find out a Start Date for the repair work * Want to get the work done before April 1 B. Lisa will get a contract worked out for the repair work C. Track CLOSED for approx. 2 weeks
5. Lisa will get with Jud to have a gate put up at the track
6. Lisa will get the covered board to be put up with club information on it.
7. Lisa will get with Angela to get the PO Box key A. Need to add John Quigley, Dennis Brandon, and Lisa Earls on the KCKA checking account B. Board would like a Membership directory 8. Kiersten will keep track of Driver year end points. A, Will maintain points on the website as done in the past
9. Kiersten will publish Race Results on the website A. Want to have Qualifying times, PreFinal results & Final results
10. Mike Blair & Dave Winslow to get the gas sniffer A. They will get instruction on the gas sniffer 11. Track work day information posted on website A. List of items that need to be done before each race 12. Dennis assisting on getting the PA system so that it will be ready by the first race A. Need 3 speakers 13. Worker of the Year point will be published on the website A. Kiersten will keep track on the points 14. Signs A. Dave Winslow to repaint / redo the KCKA sign at the entrance B. Dave Winslow to produce flyers to be posted – Kart shops, Ford, GM, & Harley plants * List club benefits – Tire discount, Open practice at Liberty C. Dave Winslow to get 2 Handicap signs for parking for the races 15. Dave Winslow brought a mock up for the custom metals and trophies for Liberty Cup A. Dave will order new metals at $2.17 each – 4 week lead time B. Dave will order trophies for the 2010 Liberty Cup for approx $13 each * Will have pre-registration so that will can get a kart count for number of trophies 16. Going to set up a Sponsor page on the website A. To sell advertising banners to be placed around the Liberty track B. Thinking about having a “Brick Yard” at the liberty track C. Club can not be Non-profit Going for advertising dollars 17. Add laps to all races at each event A. Adult races to be 10 and 16 laps (unless they ask for more) B. all 15 & younger races to be 12 and 18 laps, including kid karts 18. Need to get club By-Laws from Angie and have them posted on the website 19. Dave will add a photo album to the website, working on some articles, archives and a bunch of other website stuff 20. Will continue to give out trash bags at registration 21. Next Board Meeting at the Denny's on Front Street A. 1st Thursday on each month at 6:00
